Some Democratic lawmakers and some conservatives are calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment. This would temporarily remove Trump from office, a demand made by figures on both sides of the aisle after the president threatened to kill an “entire civilization.”
Iran says it “will exercise, without hesitation, its inherent right of self-defense” should Trump’s warning that “a whole civilization will die tonight” ring true.
Pope Leo XIV warned “attacks on civilian infrastructure is against international law,” responding to Trump’s threat.
